Artist Bio
Jennifer Ivana Sanjaya (b.2004) is an Indonesian artist based in Singapore who has completed Diploma in Fine Art and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Fine Art. She enjoys creating illustrations, drawings, and mixed media installations, and has participated in art contests during her studies. Jennifer's work has been showcased in several exhibitions, including Downsizing: Interbeing at Lim Hak Tai Gallery, Singapore, UAL x NAFA

Artist Statement
Jennifer Ivana Sanjaya works primarily with mixed media, such as oil paint, Chinese ink, and installations, followed by digital art, watercolor, and gouache for her practices. Her work revolves around the practice of meditation and the experiential qualities that it entails - stillness, presentness, impermanence, and time, along with other themes such as the human condition of the world today and mental health problems that occur in the current time. Jennifer also explores ideas that derive from nature, natural environments, and natural materials/processes that engage with the philosophical aspect of time, phenomenology, and both materiality and immateriality.
